Day 01: Kochi (Cochin) Arrival

Our staff will welcome you on arrival at Kochi (Cochin) and we will start our sightseeing of the city soon after you fresh up in your hotel room. Dutch, Chinese, Arab, Portuguese and British sea farers used to follow sea route to Kochi in ancient times and reflections of their architecture and culture are still visible in the tourist attractions of the city. Prominent attractions of Kochi that you will visit on the first day of your Kerala backwaters tour are Chinese Fishing Nets, Willington Island, Bolgatty Palace, Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace), Fort Kochi, Jewish Synagogue and Santa Cruz Basilica. We well enjoy a smooth sail in Kerala backwaters across Chinese fishing nets after lunch. Overnight stay will be at your hotel room in Kochi.

Day 2: Kochi (Cochin) - Kumarakom (90 km / 02 hr drive)

After breakfast, you will be driven to Kumarakom, a two hour journey from Kochi (Cochin). The sleepy town lies on the banks of Vembanad Lake and your journey to the city would be fascinating one. The town is famous for its serene backwaters. It has 03 major attractions for the tourist's viz. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Vembanad Lake and Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls. Pathiramanal (sands of midnight) island lies in the middle of Vembanad Lake which is home to some rare and exotic bird species. The enchanting island is accessible only through boat. We will return back to hotel room in late evening after day long exploration of the natural beauty of the Kumarakom during Kerala backwaters tour.

Day 3: Kumarakom - Alappuzha (Alleppey) (40 Km /50 minutes drive))

We shall depart for Alleppey after morning breakfast. Main attractions of Alleppey are Alleppey Beach, Krishnapuram Palace, St. Andrew's Church, Sree Nagaraja Temple and Pandavan Rock. If your visit Alleppey in August, you can also witness Nehru Trophy Snake Boat Race which is held annually on Second Saturday of August. Amabalapuzha Temple Festival is attended by thousands of devotees, which is held during Malayalam calendar's Mithunam month every year with much fanfare

Day 4: Alappuzha (Alleppey) - Kochi (Cochin) departure (70 km / 02 hr drive)

On the last day of Kerala backwaters tour, we will continue our exploration of Alleppey's natural vistas and enjoy a mesmerizing houseboat cruise in Kerala backwaters. A sail in Kettuvallam (boat with knots) or a houseboat across the Chinese fishing nets would provide a perfect ending to your day long hectic schedule. The lullaby of waves and rich flora & fauna of the coastal region will simply blow up your mind during your cruise of Kerala backwaters packages. At evening, you will be transported back to Kochi for onward journey to your home.
